The book documents the various aspects of an age-old folk art form of India, Truck Art. It focuses on an art form that makes journeys through the dusty highways of India, in more ways than one. Painting trucks with a kaleidoscope of colours, slogans and intricately painted symbols, is a skill both artists and drivers take huge pride in. But people beyond them don’t appreciate the rich culture, the hard work of painters, and the sentiments of the truck drivers attached with these trucks. The aim of the project is to make people embrace this beautiful art by taking it forward and not limiting it to just trucks.
